Rich Gittings is a legal innovator and systems builder working at the intersection of Law, Equity and Public Policy. He founded North Carolina Legal Services to serve people shut out of both free legal aid and traditional firms—and he’s also been working and organizing around housing, democracy, and structural reform.
Most recently, he’s been meeting with people and organizations across North Carolina to better understand what’s working, what’s failing, and what it would take for us to build something better—together. This conversation offers a window into why he does this work, and where it might lead.
